June 9, 2008 - Bloomington, Indiana.  Bloomington Bone & Joint Clinic welcomes John Hammerstein M.D., a Fellowship Trained Spinal Surgeon to the clinic's team of specialized Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Hammerstein graduated from Indiana University's School of Medicine, completed his five-year general orthopedics residency in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and finished his surgical training with a one-year fellowship in spinal surgery at The Spine Institute of Arizona, where he had the opportunity to work with leading specialists in “minimally invasive” and “motion-sparing” spinal surgery (e.g. disc replacement).
