Physical and Occupational Therapy

Outpatient Physical Therapy (PT) and Occupational Therapy (OT) services are provided at the Bloomington Bone & Joint Clinic, and include evaluation, treatment, and education after an accident, illness or injury. Services are provided for orthopedic, sports, industrial, neurological and balance rehabilitation. Aquatic therapy and hand rehabilitation including custom splint fabrication are also provided.

Our staff is comprised of licensed physical therapists, many of whom are NATA Certified Athletic Trainers and NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialists. Our experience in orthopedic and sports medicine therapy covers a full range of support in Physical Therapy (more ») and Occupational Therapy (more »).  We pride ourselves in rehabilitating injuries quickly and efficiently. In our convenient South Central Indiana regional location offers modern facilities - where we blend hands-on experience with state of the art equipment and techniques to treat all orthopedic related conditions including:

  • Surgical and non-surgical conditions
  • Shoulder, elbow and wrist injuries
  • Hand conditions
  • Knee, ankle and foot injuries
  • Spine disorders
  • As well as many other conditions

Physical Therapy

Also known as “PT”, physical therapy is another core service available at Bloomington Bone & Joint Clinic. At a basic level, PT focuses treatment on restoring strength, muscle control, and range of motion for activities such as sitting, standing, using a wheelchair and/or walking. More advanced PT may focus on a person’s ability to walk or use a wheelchair outdoors over uneven surfaces or getting into and out of vehicles when limitations exist due to illness or injury. Bloomington Bone & Joint Clinic's Physical Therapy staff has extensive training  to remain on top of the current practices in the field. We are involved in research, course instruction, continuing education, and daily exposure to various types of orthopedic conditions.  As a result of our vast experience, our therapists are actively involved in community outreach and training locally and nationally.  Our services include:

Occupational Therapy

Also known as “OT”, occupational therapy is one of the core services available at the  Bloomington Bone & Joint Clinic.  At a basic level, OT focuses treatment on the recovery of function necessary to engage in daily activities such as bathing, grooming, eating, dressing and/or toileting. More advanced OT may focus on restoring function or changing the way a person prepares meals or performs housework when illness or injury does permanent damage.
